lizardbot provides cybersecurity and data protection for web, mobile and desktop applications: security by design, encryption, two-factor authentication, backups with a recovery plan, security audits and penetration testing. It is the same approach we use on antlook.io, our own privacy browser, applied to companies in the United States and the Dominican Republic.
What security by design means and who it is for
Security by design means protection is not bolted on at the end. It is decided from the start: who can see what, how passwords are stored, which data is encrypted, and what happens if a server goes down. That is cheaper and more reliable than fixing a breach after it happens.
It is for you if your app handles customer data, payments or internal information; if you are about to launch a product and want to get it right from day one; or if you already run a system and do not know how exposed it is. It applies to an online store, a SaaS platform or an internal admin dashboard alike.
What our cybersecurity service includes
- Encryption: data encrypted in transit and, where the use case calls for it, end-to-end encryption so not even the server can read the content.
- Authentication and 2FA: secure sign-in, properly stored passwords, a second authentication factor and role-based permissions.
- Backups and recovery: automatic backups and a tested plan to get back online if something is lost.
- Security audits: a review of an existing app's code, configuration and access, with findings ranked by priority.
- Penetration testing: controlled tests to find weaknesses before an attacker does, always with your authorization and an agreed scope.
- Data protection: collect only what you need, limit who can access it and log important access events.
How we work
On new projects, security is one of our five stages, not an add-on: Discovery, Design, Development, Security and QA, and Launch. In discovery we identify which data is sensitive and which risks matter. In design we define roles and permissions. During development we apply best practices in every cycle. In the Security and QA stage we run tests, audits and data hardening before going live, and after launch we keep monitoring.
For existing systems, we start with a scoped audit, present the findings in plain language and agree with you on what to fix first.
What you get
- A clear report of the risks found, their priority and how to fix them.
- The fixes applied, if you also hire us for implementation.
- Configured backups and a documented recovery procedure.
- Source code and full ownership of everything we build for you.
- Revisions included and milestone payments as the work progresses.
Technology and hands-on experience
We build with React, Next.js, Node, Python, Flutter, React Native and Electron, and we apply security at each of those layers: web, server, mobile and desktop. Our most direct reference is antlook.io, a privacy browser we designed and built from scratch on Chromium, with fingerprint cloaking, native ad and tracker blocking, and AI that runs on the device itself. Common security mistakes to avoid
- Leaving security for last: rebuilding a permissions system after launch costs far more.
- Backups nobody has tested: a backup you cannot restore is not a backup.
- Admin accounts without 2FA: one of the most common ways in.
- Keeping data you do not need: every extra field is extra risk.
- Accepting vague promises: always ask for a concrete report of what was reviewed and what was found.

Security is part of everything we do, from web development to the automations that connect your tools and handle credentials. Platforms like Wijo Number, with a dashboard and an API, are the kind of product where authentication and access control are critical. Frequently asked questions
What is penetration testing and do I need it?
Penetration testing is a controlled attack on your application, done with your authorization and an agreed scope, to find weaknesses before a real attacker does. It makes sense before launching a product that handles sensitive data or payments, and periodically for systems that change often.
Can you review an app you did not build?
Yes. We start with a scoped audit of the code, configuration and access. You get the findings ranked by priority and explained in plain language, and if you want, we also handle the fixes.
What does security by design mean?
It means security is decided at the start of the project, not patched on at the end. Roles and permissions, encryption, password storage, backups and access logging are planned together with the rest of the product. It is the same way we work on antlook.io.
Do you hold security certifications?
We do not claim certifications. What we offer is a transparent process: an agreed scope, a concrete report of what we reviewed and found, and the fixes applied. If your industry requires a specific certification, we tell you up front so you can plan for it.
How much does a security audit cost?
It depends on the size of the system and the scope. Tell us what you want reviewed and within 24 hours we send a no-commitment estimate. We work with milestone payments, not everything upfront.
Do you provide monitoring after launch?
Yes. After launch we stay with you through support plans, monitoring and continuous improvements, including the security updates your application needs over time. We also review access and backups periodically to confirm they still work.
